The film is currently in progress, with editing, color grading, and original music composition still underway. The Journey Between Lands – Cairo is the first chapter of an ongoing film project exploring my emotional and physical relationship to Egypt. Through movement, the work investigates how my body responds to returning to my homeland, moving through excitement, joy, nostalgia, memory, anxiety, overwhelm, and the search for calm within chaos. Filmed in Cairo, the work reflects different phases of return: the tenderness of reconnection, the triggers held in familiar places, and the complexity of belonging to a place that carries both comfort and intensity. Through dance, film, and embodied research, the project traces how memory lives in the body and how place can awaken layered emotional landscapes.
